1. Scope & Zero-Tolerance Anti-Spam Commitment

This Acceptable Use & Anti-Spam Policy (“AUP”) governs all use of Mellott.US, including its web platform, SMS/MMS messaging endpoints, email delivery services, push notification channels, mobile applications, and browser extensions. Mellott.US enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy against unsolicited commercial messaging (“spam”), non-consensual automated communications, phishing, and network abuse.

2. SMS & Telecommunications Messaging Rules (Twilio / CTIA / TCPA)

All SMS messages transmitted through Mellott.US must comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices, carrier A2P 10DLC and Toll-Free rules, and the Twilio Messaging Policy:

  • Verifiable Prior Express Consent: No SMS message may be sent to any mobile number unless the recipient has provided prior express consent via our SMS Opt-In Form, by texting an opt-in keyword (START), or by verifying their phone number inside their authenticated account.
  • SHAFT & Prohibited Content Ban: Mellott.US strictly prohibits transmitting content related to Sex/adult material, Hate speech, Alcohol, Firearms/weapons, Tobacco/vaping/cannabis/CBD (“SHAFT”), illegal drugs, sweepstakes/gambling, payday loans, third-party debt collection, or deceptive lead generation.
  • Mandatory Opt-Out Honouring: Every STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT reply is honoured immediately and automatically. Attempting to bypass opt-out suppression or rotate sender numbers (“snowshoeing”) is strictly prohibited.

3. Email Messaging & Campaign Rules (SendGrid / CAN-SPAM / CASL)

  • No Purchased or Harvested Lists: Uploading, importing, or mailing to purchased, rented, scraped, or appended email lists is strictly prohibited.
  • Accurate Headers & Identification: Falsifying or spoofing From, Reply-To, or routing headers, or using deceptive subject lines, is forbidden.
  • Immediate Unsubscribe & Suppression: Every non-essential email must include a working link to our Email Unsubscribe Page and RFC 8058 one-click unsubscribe headers. Hard bounces and spam complaints are permanently suppressed.

4. Platform Security, Push Notifications & System Integrity

Users may not use Mellott.US to host or distribute malware, ransomware, spyware, or phishing pages; perform unauthorized vulnerability scanning, credential stuffing, or denial-of-service attacks; abuse Web Push, Apple APNs, or Google FCM notification channels with deceptive prompts; or circumvent end-to-end encryption, authentication, or rate-limiting controls.

5. Reporting Abuse & Enforcement

Suspected violations of this Acceptable Use & Anti-Spam Policy, unwanted SMS or email messages, or security concerns should be reported immediately to support@mellott.us. We investigate all reports promptly and may suspend or terminate offending accounts or suppress recipient addresses immediately without notice. See also our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
